Online Portal Storage
In
late 2008, the President signed a new law restricting access to your
confidential tax information (Internal Revenue Code Section 7216
effective 1-1-09).It makes it
extremely difficult for us to provide copies of your tax returns, supporting
information or other confidential information to those people to whom you
direct us to provide information, such as bankers, mortgage companies,
insurers, etc. We will also Not be emailing this sensitive data as
Social Security #?s and addresses can be stolen via email.
We
have struggled to comply with the new rules for the last several months and
quickly realized we needed a new, completely secure system to provide you with
your needed information.Our new
256-bit SSL secure web portal system provides you with password-protected
online access to information, so that you may choose to provide this
information directly and securely to whomever you wish, without our
intervention. These Portals are available starting in the Spring of 2009.
Here
is what we will provide to you on your secure web portal:
·Secure
online access to 2-3 years of copies of your tax returns in PDF form, starting
with 2008.If you need previous years
we can upload as needed.
·A
secure location for you to backup your own financial information as you wish
(within our storage limits).
·The
ability for you to securely upload requested tax information to our office
without needing a fax machine or a visit to the office.
·All
data is kept safe and secure on state-of-the art, fully redundant servers that
are backed up daily.
·Businesses
will now be able to securely process their payroll on our web portal without
the need for computer or software changes (additional fee).
·All
users will receive 250 MB of secure storage, with additional amounts available
if required at a small fee.
Each
entity has up to 250MB of secure storage.Additional storage needs are approximately $10 per GB per month.Effective immediately we are requiring
all clients to use the system from this year forward.If you have no access to the internet please

access your online secure web storage, first contact us to obtain your login
& passwords, then simply go to our website at www.scheibecpa.com and log in.It is a simple system that will be
immediately usable by you. Even if you do not have email or internet
you will have a portal that will hold information you may need for other
businesses.
